I'm Connor Fraser, the founder of Achmore Woodworks I live in Achmore, a small village twelve miles from the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands.

I took up woodworking as a hobby in 2021 at fourteen when I was given a starter lathe. After this, I really took to spending hours & hours picking up techniques, learning about types of wood and getting to know other woodworking experts here in Skye & Lochalsh and elsewhere.

My interest grew so much, my dad gave me his shed that I turned into a workshop. I'm now fifteen and inbetween exams and life, I craft woodturning products, furniture and commissions out of local and reclaimed timber. My chickens get the woodshavings and my parents get the offcuts for firewood.
